IYKYK… 🫣

You find a new piece of furniture or home decor that you just LOVE and order it ASAP.

But then it arrives, and suddenly your rug clashes with it. Or you start thinking different nightstands would look so much better. Or maybe you need a new xyz to style it.

One new purchase creates a domino effect of more purchases and trust me, I’ve been there… too many times 😅

I was able to finally break out of this cycle when I

1. Stopped scrolling Pinterest constantly for “home inspo” which ultimately just led to a comparison trap and feeling like I hated our home
2. Started creating a simple home that’s easy to care for

For me, an easy to care for home means not having a lot of stuff in the way when cleaning.

So, I got rid of half of what we owned (yes, including my home decor stash), prioritized timeless, versatile pieces I could style year-round, and focused on how our home FEELS instead of just how it looks. ☁️🕊

Now those urges to buy new decor or restyle spaces has disappeared and I feel more content with our home than ever!
